Gamers who had the opportunity to watch Microsoft’s E3 2016 event live were delighted to know that the game is indeed coming to PC platform.
Gears of War is one of the most celebrated exclusives on the Xbox console for many years. The new Xbox One S console will not keep such exclusivity and allow players to enjoy it on the Windows 10 PCs. A lot of information related to the game were confusing which is why we bring all the details you need to know and keep your fingers crossed for the big release date.
The title is scheduled to get launched on both the Xbox One console and PCs on October 11th this year. The launch will also be commemorated with a special edition Xbox Elite controller. It is going to be extremely limited in numbers, confirmed the company. They plan to keep it to less numbers because Elite controller is an extremely expensive accessory priced at $150 and not everyone could afford one. Keeping it limited will make sure they don’t incur a loss and manage to sell them all quickly.
On the new Elite controller, you can find the Gears of 4 logo embedded on the left hand grip and the other logo in the center. It features a deep red color variant with another logo embedded on the rear. The analog direction buttons are printed with weapons from the game, making it easier for players to switch between each one of them during intense combat.
Microsoft not only confirmed that Gears of War 4 is coming to PC but it also includes many other features including cross play support. The feature is made possible because of the Xbox Play feature which makes it easier for players to compete with those on other platform. Windows 10 and Xbox One gamers will compete in the same match. The game includes the single player campaign and the multiplayer mode. It also brings the much awaited Horde Mode 3.0 but very limited information is available on the same.
Gears of War 4 is scheduled to get launched on the same day on both platforms. Microsoft is working on a new strategy where they are going to bring PCs and their console together whereas Sony is stuck with the PS4 console with no other alternatives. We can’t comment on the big picture yet as it might take months before we know what the publisher is up to.
