HTC took many by surprise when it launched the Sprint-exclusive HTC Bolt without a 3.5mm headphone jack and in its place, buyers of the phone have to rely on the same USB-C port used for charging and data transfer.
This is a move that had been seen with the likes of Moto Z, iPhone 7 and even before these, a number of LeEco smartphones including the Le 2 and Le Max 2. With the company set to announce a series of new phones this week, among them the HTC One X10, it seems that this One X9 successor will be keeping one of the most essential features – the 3.5mm headphone jack.
It had been confirmed in previous leaks that the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play will not be coming in with the 3.5mm headphone jack. Now, reports coming from the same person responsible for the two other phones’ leaks claim that the HTC One X10 will ship with this traditional audio ports instead of relying on USB-C port.
As of now, it is hard to tell if the HTC One X10 will also be dropping the microUSB port in favor of USB-C connectivity for charging and data transfer alone, but what is now known is that the 3.5mm headphone port will appear at the top end of the phone.
Unlike #HTC Ocean Note (HTC U Ultra) and HTC Alpine (HTC U Play), HTC E66 (HTC One X10) will feature a 3.5mm audio jack (on top)

The latest word on the street has it that the HTC One X10 will be a simple upgrade to the One X9, meaning some of the specs and features used on the latter may be reused on the former, among them the same 5.5-inch display screen with 1080p resolution and almost no changes to the design language. The cameras and processors will be different, though, with the former coming in with a 16.3MP+8MP combination and the latter moving to an Helio P10 processor. In comparison, the HTC One X9 had a camera combination of 13MP/5MP and an Helio X10 processor.
A lot of these is based on rumors and so far, HTC has remained silent on the matters regarding the One X10 as well as HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play. But with the event happening this week, we should be able to know more details about these phones sooner than later.
