Huawei Honor 6X Price and Release Date Confirmed for U.S. and European Markets

Huawei Honor 6X is finally making its way to the U.S. and Europe following its launch in China back in October 2016.

The successor to the Honor 5X, the Huawei Honor 6X is a much-anticipated phone in the west thanks to the great position the mother company has found itself in following its heroics with the Google Nexus 6P back in 2015. Like its predecessor, the Honor 6X comes in as a midrange offering, but you may not believe what the phone brings to the fold in terms of features and specs.

Just ahead of the CES 2017 event, it has been leaked that the Huawei Honor 6X will be coming to the U.S. starting tomorrow January 4th, but this will not mean the phone is available for purchase. Instead, this date signals the start of pre-orders while physical purchases will begin on January 15th. These dates affect both regions.

Apparently, the Huawei Honor 6X will be priced at just $249.99. However, this amount will only earn you the 3GB RAM model that also carries 32GB of internal storage. As for those living in Europe, the Honor 6X will be available at €249 and it will be sold in markets such as the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Russia, among others.

If you can hold on, the high-end variant of the Huawei Honor 6X will start selling in both regions towards the end of Q1 2017. This model houses a better RAM of 4GB alongside more storage of 64GB, but as you know, the price will be a little higher at $299.99 in the U.S. and €299 for those in Europe.

As for the rest of the specs, the Huawei Honor 6X has a 5.5-inch Full HD display screen featuring a 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, the 6X has a Kirin 655 processor that is paired with a Mali T830-MP2 GPU and either 3GB or 4GB RAM. As for storage, you get 32GB and 64GB units. The camera on the back has two lenses of 12MP and 2MP while the front has an 8MP snapper for selfies and video calling. To keep the phone alive, you get a huge 3340mAh battery that supports fast charging technology.

The software part sees Android Marshmallow come on the device out of the box, but an update to Nougat should be available in future.
