Oppo F1 Plus 2016

The F1 Plus can also optionally work as a dual SIM gadget. Read on to know more about what other features this wonderful device has to impress you.

Design, Body Material, Size and Weight

The Oppo F1 Plus owes its classy and elegant look to its all metal body that is primarily anodized aluminum on the rear. The choice of metal as the body material not only makes the smartphone non-slippery but also gives it a smooth finish and an attractive look. Added to this, the rounded corners give the device extra style. As for the size factor, the F1 Plus has proportionate dimensions of 151.8 x 74.3 x 6.6 mm and weighs 145 g. On the whole, the manufacturer has taken efforts to make the premium looking handset comfortable, thin and lightweight. In a nutshell, the gadget is undoubtedly a good choice if you are looking for a stylish and yet compact smartphone that you can hold in one hand with ease. As expected, the power and volume control buttons are located on the side.

Screen Display, Pixel Resolution and Pixel Density

Oppo has opted for a pretty decent screen size of 5.5” for its offering. The 2.5D curved screen supports a Full HD AMOLED display. The Oppo F1 Plus screen has a standard pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080 with a pixel density of very close to 401ppi. This makes images and text appear sharp, bright and clear. Rendition of vibrant colors coupled with color accuracy is another noteworthy point. With decent viewing angles and bare minimum color distortion, the screen is really suitable for intense gaming, reading and browsing activities. In addition to these features, the screen is scratch resistant thanks to the incorporation of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The home button located on the screen is also capable of serving as a fingerprint scanner that responds with great accuracy and is quite fast acting.

Front and Rear Cameras

The F1 Plus is quite different as far as its cameras are concerned because this is the first smartphone to have a higher pixel rating for its front shooter when compared to the rear snapper. The 13MP primary shooter with a Sony IMX214 sensor makes use of a LED flash and provides decent shots in good lighting conditions. Occasionally, less lighting shots appear to be a bit grainy. But, they are still far better than the grainy pictures produced by cameras from many other handsets. Apart from standard features, phase detection autofocus is a key highlight. The camera also records 1080p videos @ 30 fps.

The secondary 16MP camera is the star of the show as far as the Oppo F1 Plus is considered. Excellent selfies can be taken with this camera that uses ISOCELL technology. With minimum noise and interference between pixels, the clarity rendered is incredible. You can also apply a plethora of filters to give your photos various effects.

Hardware, Software and Memory

The Oppo smartphone embraces some excellent hardware and memory configuration. Equipped with an octa-core processor clocking at 2GHz, the device is equipped with a Helio P10 or MediaTek MT6755 chipset, a Cortex A53 processor and a Mali T860 MP2 graphics processor. It is housed with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM as internal storage. Interestingly, the handset is one of the very few gadgets currently available that offers both 64GB ROM and external memory of up to 128GB with a memory card. It must be noted that the memory card slot can be used as a secondary SIM card slot if you do not want additional memory.

On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a possible upgrade tothe next level Marshmallow. The gadget is also integrated with the manufacturer’s very own Color OS 3.0 for user customization.

Battery

Like other handsets, the manufacturer has integrated a non-removable battery into its device. Oppo uses a 2,850 mAh Li-Po battery with fast charging capability. The mini VOOC flash charging adapter helps in rapid charging even as the handset is being warmed without warming it up extensively. Battery life is also pretty long. With just five minutes of charging, you can talk non-stop for about two hours.
