InFocus M535+

The US manufacturer InFocus brought out its M535+ smartphone as an enhancement to its predecessor, the M535, in mid July 2016.

The handset is available in metallic gold and silver color options and provides dual SIM support. However, one of the SIM card slots is designed to double up as a memory card slot. To promote the sales, the company is offering a selfie stick free as an inaugural offerto all those who buy its gadget. The 4G enabled device with VoLTE support is primarily targeted at selfie lovers who are looking for style in their smartphone.

Dimensions, Weight and Body Material

The InFocus M535+ is very sleek and lightweight owing to its size of 156 x 76.8 x 7.25mm and weight of 158g. With this size and weight, the handset fits easily in both small and big hands, as well as in the user’s pocket. Interestingly, this lightweight gadget is encased in a full metal body. This makes it quite sturdy as well apart from making it sport a classy elegant look. However, there is no clue as of now if the device is dust and water resistant.

Screen Display and Size, Pixel Resolution and Density

The M535+ is equipped with a standard screen size of 5.5 inches and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The IPS LCD full HD screen has a very good pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 with an equally excellent pixel density of very close to 401ppi. Moreover, the manufacturer has protected the screen of its handset from scratches by making use of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for its display to make it scratch resistant. In addition, the capacitive touchscreen renders the normal 16 million colors and supports multi-touch functionality. The wide viewing angles make the screen ideal for almost any activity carried out using the gadget.

Primary and Secondary Shooters

It is worth noting that the US based tech giant has given equal importance to both its primary and secondary cameras. Each of them is a 13MP shooter and just like the earlier M535 model, the InFocus M535+ is all set to create an all new selfie experience. Talking about this in a press meet, SachinTapar, Country Head of the company’s India based operations stated that the device intends catering to the needs of the pro-selfie generation. The primary rear camera is integrated with an LED flash, and incorporates a Samsung S5K3M2 sensoralong with a wide angle lens. With all standard features taken into consideration, this shooter portrays 4160 x 3120 image resolution and 1920 x 1080 video resolution when recording videos at 30 fps. Although the secondary front snapper also bears a 13MP value, its image resolution is slightly lesser at 4128 x 3096. However, this does not affect the clarity of web chats and selfies in anyway. A noteworthy point of this handset is that the video resolution and recording capability are at par with those of the camera at the back.

This 16GB can be expanded externally by yet another 64GB by using a memory card externally. For the operating system, the gadget comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow preinstalled out of the box. For the chipset and processors, the device makes use of a MediaTek MT6753 chipset, an octa core 1.3GHz ARM Cortex-A53 central processor and a 450MHz triple core ARM Mali-T720 MP3 graphics processor.

Battery and Battery Life
