LeEco Le Max 2 Pro Set for June 29th Launch with Monster Specs

LeEco Le Max 2 Pro

Just recently the Chinese market received three smartphones from LeEco – the Le 2, Le Max 2 and Le 2 Pro. These three phones are expected to hit other markets, but it is not known when they will do so.

As for now, target markets such as India have already received the LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2, but there is no mention of when the Le 2 Pro will be available for purchase in one of the largest smartphone market in Asia and the world in general.

Before even this happens, it seems the company is working on releasing another smartphone this coming June 29. Apparently, the phone will be known as LeEco Le Max 2 Pro. It is reported that the device will carry on with the design language of the Le Max Pro that was announced at the CES 2016. If anything, this phone was the first to come rocking a Snapdragon 820 SoC and as it seems, LeEco Le Max 2 Pro is coming to continue this trend of being the first to use the latest SoC from Qualcomm.

If all goes according to the rumor, the new Le Max 2 Pro will sport an improved Snapdragon 821 SoC, which still uses the sane Adreno 530 GPU used on the previous chipset, but also with some slight improvements in terms of performance. The processor will feature a slightly improved clock speed of 2.3GHz as opposed to the 2.2GHz that the current 820 can top.

In addition to the improved CPU clock speed, the Le Max 2 Pro will also come with an even better RAM of 8GB, which will again make it the first phone to feature such monstrous RAM. Is there really any reason to pack a handheld device that is meant for nothing more than the usual smartphone uses with such huge RAM? Well, as it seems, LeEco have found reasons to do so.

LeEco Le Max 2 Pro rumors

It gets even better as far as the camera is concerned, with reports that the phone will improve on the megapixel count used on the Le Max 2. While the latter comes with a 21MP rear camera, the Le Max 2 Pro is rumored to be bringing a huge 25MP sensor. Like Apple, there are also rumors that the flagship might ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of a universal USB Type-C port for charging, data transfer and audio.

As pointed out earlier, LeEco is expected to announce the Le Max 2 Pro on June 29. However, this is still a huge rumor, just like what has been going on with the Microsoft Surface Phone that is claimed to come with 8GB RAM and up to 500GB of onboard storage. As of now, we already have quite a number of smartphones using 6GB of RAM, among them the OnePlus 3, Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro as well as Vivo Xplay 5. There are also reports that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will pack the same amount of RAM.
