According to the latest reports coming from India, there is a new Nokia D1C midrange smartphone that will be launched in the region very soon.
Apparently, the price of the Nokia D1C, a phone that has been in the rumors for quite some time now, will be that of a midrange family, standing at Rs. 9,999, an approximate of $150. Reports claim that the D1C, which will be Nokia’s first Android phone, will come in two variants, with the base model shipping with a 2GB RAM while the high-end model will feature a 3GB RAM.
The leaked price is for the entry-level model that ships with 2GB RAM, but the 3GB RAM model will be priced at Rs. 12,999, which is about $200.
Nokia had been rumored to be working on a new set of phones (five) and as it appears, the Nokia D1C is just one of the models that will be released in the coming months. If rumors are to be believed, Nokia has a flagship model in store – a handset that will carry the best processor of 2017 – the Snapdragon 835. There will also be an entry-level model that will be powered by a Snapdragon 200 series processor alongside a RAM of just 1GB. It is possible that this latter model will be priced somewhere in the regions of $100.
There is still no other detail known about the Nokia D1C, but rumors have it that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor and will ship with a 5-inch screen that features a 1920 x 1080 pixels’ resolution. All two variants of the D1C will ship with a 16MP snapper on the back while the front will feature a 13MP shooter.
To crown the decent specs the Nokia D1C is rumored to be coming with is the new Android Nougat dessert, an OS that is just available on a handful of smartphones right from the box.
