Recent leaks about the OnePlus 5 suggest that it will have a dual camera setup for rear and front and will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset.
The OnePlus 5 will be released very shortly and there are many teasers and leaks available. Rumors are that the device will be an amazing mix of excellent hardware combined with an aggressive price.
The latest rumors and leaks confirm that the OnePlus 5 will come with a dual camera setup for the rear and also possibly for the front of the device. However, there is no concrete news about this feature. Another render of the device has been seen and it shows that the OnePlus 5 will indeed come with a dual camera.
The leaks come from the social media Weibo, a Chinese site, which is a combination of Twitter & Facebook. The new leaks confirm earlier leaks about the OnePlus 5 being powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon, 835 SoC. The RAM will be 8 GB and the battery will be a huge 4000 mAh. The following is the picture attached to the post in Weibo:
Though there is no concrete evidence to show that the post is accurate, it is a known fact that OnePlus is capable of putting plenty of RAM in its devices. For instance, the OnePlus 3 had a huge RAM of 6 GB and this is not yet equaled by many of the big manufacturers around the world even today. As for the rumored battery size of 4000 mAh, it is also known that OnePlus always gives ample consideration to users’ wishes, so it would be very much in the company’s character and precedent to create a thicker device that houses a juicier or heavier battery, to please customers.
Dual Camera Setup
As for the present, it can only be speculated as to how the dual camera setup will be used in the OnePlus 5. The setup could be similar to the one used in the Huawei P 10, which has 2 sensors of the same kind, with one being used for shots in black/white and the other being used for collecting depth information. On the other hand, the setup of the dual cameras on the OnePlus 5 could also be like the one seen on the iPhone 7 Plus. In the latter case, one camera contains the telephoto lens connected with 2x optical zooming whereas the other camera contains the portrait mode.
Toppling Top Runners
If there is one device that is probably bound to topple other flagships of this year, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8, it will be the upcoming OnePlus 5. There are still some months to go before the official introduction of the smartphone, the leaks are continuing to grow. The leaks suggest that the OnePlus 5 will come with a QHD display of 5.5 inches and will run on the Snapdragon 835 CPU, with the Adreno 540 graphics card, 64 GB of internal storage and a RAM of 8 GB. The smartphone will run on Android Nougat, 7.1 version.
All these leaks have appeared in images that were seen on Slashleaks, with Geekbuying listing the cost of the smartphone at around $449.99, which is in keeping with the prices leaked from other sources.
