Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Slightly Delayed from Original Launch Date

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed

The game studios try to deliver on time but sometimes it just happens.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 developed by CI Games has just been delayed again even though it’s a minor change and shouldn’t be a worrisome announcement.

The third installment in the series has garnered great attention because of the last game that had a decent storyline and allowed gamers to be a sniper throughout the narrative. While most first person shooters will dedicate an entire level letting players snipe from a distance, very few focuses the whole game based on a sniper’s adventure in the battlefield.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 impressed a lot with its initial screenshots and gameplay trailers. The game was originally announced on December 2014. The developers were probably just too excited that they made the announcement as soon as they started developing the title. Big publishers like Ubisoft and Electronic Arts wouldn’t do such mistakes because creating hype too early through the development cycle could affect sales if the title couldn’t be delivered to gamers in time.

The exact same issue happened with Polish developer CI Games who kept the audience hot on their heels for more than two years now. The first game in the series hardly had a good beginning but despite the failure the studio delivered a pretty good experience with Ghost Warrior 2. It wasn’t award winning material yet managed to make 5 million copies in sales through its lifetime.

According to an earlier announcement, Ghost Warrior 3 should have been made available in the first half of 2016. It was later pushed to January 2017 release date. The developers once again pushed it to the first week of April and now promise that it will be launched on April 25th on PS4, Xbox One and PC

Discussing the delay in launch date, MarekTyminski, head of CI said, “Our entire team has been working without a break to deliver an ambitious Sniper Ghost Warrior experience like never before. We have come a long way since the original game. The last delay in release date, we believe will allow us to tweak the game one last time for a great gaming experience on day one.”

Competing with the game is Sniper Elite which takes place in World War 2 whereas Ghost Warrior 2 takes place in modern day and will give players an open world experience with all the elite class sniper guns that they could use to take down enemies in style.

  1. I have been waiting for this game since early 2015 and I really can’t wait to finally play it. But on the other hand I want to have a great experience playing it and a part of me knows that the game is going to be way better in late April

  2. Hope they fix this optimisation issues, after that, this game will be brilliant! Shooting mechanics is amazing, as well AI of enemies. I can’t wait to see how they do MP mode, is there any Co-op ?

  3. Sad a little, because after SGW3 beta version I’m really hungry fo this game, but If CIGames need this three weeks to optimise their game as best as they can, then I can handle this delay

  4. After watching the new gameplay I am hyped up to play it but I will wait patiently until they are ready to published a finished bug-free game
