Sony Xperia X Performance to be Available in the UK

Sony Xperia X Performance

Sony Xperia X Performance will be sold in the UK, this is according to a new report just coming in. The company announced this flagship back in February during the MWC 2016.

The Xperia X Performance was announced alongside the likes of Xperia X and Xperia XA, but later on, another Xperia XA Ultra was announced and released before the flagship X Performance sees the light. When the Japanese company made the official announcement, things did not turn out well with its UK enthusiasts. Back then, it was only meant for the Xperia X and Xperia XA to come to the largest economy in Europe. However, after making a few enemies here and there and determined not to make any more enemies, the company has finally revealed that the flagship Xperia X Performance will be sold in the UK alongside the rest of the Xperia X series.

Even though this is great news, it will still hurt a lot other Sony lovers as the reports seem to point towards limited quantities of the phone being availed in the country. The phone will be sold via the country’s retail outlet known as Clove. According to the retailer, the phone will be here as from mid-July and all Britons can grab this device for £549.

The most exciting part of the story is that Clove is an internationally recognized retailer which doesn’t just deal with local clients, but also with international ones. In short, you can also get yourself a new Sony Xperia X Performance from wherever you are, as long as Clove is within your service.

The variant being sold by Clove is unlocked and SIM-free. Other features include a 5-inch 1080p screen with a pixel density of 441ppi. Under the hood, the phone comes with a Snapdragon 820 SoC that is paired with a RAM of 3GB and an Adreno 530 GPU. There is 32GB of expandable storage where the dedicated microSD card slot can hold up to 256GB.

The camera on the back of the phone has not changed a bit when compared to last year’s Xperia Z5. It is a 23MP sensor with LED flash, PDAF, and autofocus on board. The front part has a massive 13MP sensor with the same aperture as the main camera. The Xperia X Performance will be powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and a 2700mAh battery unit.
