T-Mobile has announced the launch of the HTC 10 on its networks starting from May 18.
The HTC 10 is the latest high-end device from the Taiwanese company and it claims to be the perfect phone from HTC just yet. Launched a few weeks ago, the model has not exactly received great interest but HTC expects its fortunes to revive in the coming months. The availability of the T-Mobile network is another bonus. Furthermore, T-Mobile are splashing the gifts for those choosing to buy the phone between May 18 and May 24. Customers will be eligible to receive an Ice View case and a rapid charger along with the device.
HTC claims that the value of the two products are worth around $ 85. The HTC 10 can be bought without paying any upfront fees. Monthly instalments over a 24-month period have been set at $28.34. These are figures which will make the HTC 10 extremely attractive. The phone is available in the unlocked variant for $679.99.
The phone has a 5.2 inch HD display which has disappointed some with its inability to offer the same level of readability as Samsung’s Super AMOLED display especially in the sunlight. However, the display remains an excellent aspect of the HTC 10 once such niggles are taken out. HTC claims to have improved several aspects of the device especially the camera, where a new 12-megapixel shooter takes position. Complete with assistance from the likes of laser autofocus and more, this camera is capable of going up with the best business.
Dual LED flash is provided for night photography while the front camera has a five-megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, it does not support even QHD video recording for now using the front camera. The rear camera, however, continues to come with the standards of features like 2160p
The HTC 10 is one of the few devices to offer support to 24 bit/192 KHz audio. There is talk about phones doing away with the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the search for thinner devices. Coming in at 9 mm in thickness, the HTC 10 has a long way to go before being considered in the league of the iPhone 6S or the Samsung Galaxy S7 in terms of being thin. HTC does not seem to have focused much on reducing the side footprint of the device, which comes with android 6.0 OS.
