Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is set for an official release on Valentine’s Day, latest reports coming from China can confirm.
In early January, an alleged Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X appeared online and even though back then there were few details about the handset, we now know that it is indeed a real thing. The Chinese OEM took to its official Weibo account to announce the release of the Redmi Note 4 successor and while this confirms the phone’s availability in China, it doesn’t say a thing with respect to other markets.
In addition, the info from Xiaomi is quite limited, with the only details confirmed being the release date and name of the phone. However, it is obvious that the Redmi Note 4X is coming to take the place of the original Note 4. This should also mean that the phone will take a slightly higher price tag when compared to its predecessor.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X already made a stop at the country’s TENAA. Back then, the listing on the certification website confirmed that the phone will ship with upgraded specs compared to its predecessor. Unlike the recently launched Redmi Note 4 (India), the rumored Redmi Note 4X will come with a new Snapdragon 625, same as what the recent 2017 model came in with. This processor will be paired with a RAM of 4GB alongside two storage options of 32GB and 64GB.
The screen size and specs will not be changing at all, meaning you get a 5.5-inch display with a Full HD resolution. As for the camera specs, the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will come with a 13MP shooter on the back alongside a 5MP selfie shooter on the front panel. The battery capacity will also remain unchanged at 4100mAh and you can also expect to come across a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As noted earlier, the teaser from Xiaomi did not reveal any specs and features of the upcoming Redmi Note 4X. The above specs are based on educated guesses, meaning anything could go otherwise. However, you can rest assured that the Chinese OEM will be unveiling a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X on February 14.
Stay tuned and we’ll keep you informed!
