Alleged Motorola Edge PStar (XT2153-1) Pops Up on Wi-Fi Alliance Certification Ahead of the Launch

New Motorola phone with model number XT2153-1 which is likely the Motorola Edge PStar gets certified by Wi-Fi Alliance.

Lenovo-owned Motorola is reportedly working to bring successors of Motorola Edge and Edge+ to the market. A recent report from a German publication suggests that the Motorola Edge successors are code-named “Berlin”, “Berlin NA”, “Kyoto”, and “PStar”.

The report also reveals that Motorola Edge PStar carries the model XT2153. Today, we have spotted a new Motorola phone on the Wi-Fi Alliance with model number XT2153-1, which is most likely a variant of Motorola Edge PStar.

The German publication reveals that Motorola Edge PStar will be powered by either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC or Snapdragon 870 SoC. It is equipped with X55 5G modem. It is said to be offered in three color options – Black, White, and Blue. The phone could come with 6GB, 8GB or 12GB RAM paired with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The Edge PStar may offer a triple camera setup which includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultrawide/macro shooter, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The device is expected to offer a 16-megapixel selfie camera for the Chinese model, while the EU model may get a 32-megapixel sensor.

Motorola Edge Berlin, Motorola Edge Berlin NA

Talking about Motorola Edge Berlin and Berlin NA, the former is expected to arrive in the European market, while the latter is for North America. These two could come as a slightly toned-down version of the Edge PStar. The Edge Berlin and Berlin NA are said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.

The European model may offer a 108-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel triple rear cameras, while the North American model may get 108-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear cameras. At the front, both may sport a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Motorola Edge PStar (XT2123) has also received certification from Russia’s EEC authority. As of now, there is no word from Motorola about the launch of Edge and Edge+ successors. Also, the existence of these phones is yet to have an official confirmation.
