Alleged OPPO Reno6 4G (CPH2235) with Snapdragon 720G and 8GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench

The alleged OPPO Reno6 4G with model number CPH2235 has appeared at the Geekbench benchmarking site.

OPPO announced the Reno6 series back in May in China which includes the Reno 6 5G, Reno 6 Pro 5G, and Reno 6 Pro+ 5G. Now, the company is gearing up to launch the Reno6 models in markets outside of China. It appears that some markets may receive a 4G variant of the Reno6.

Oppo CPH2235 model has been previously spotted at certification sites like Eurasian Economic Commission and Indonesia’s TKDN. Previous reports have claimed that the CPH2235 model may belong to the Reno6 series.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the CPH2235 is powered by a Qualcomm octa-core chip that includes six CPU cores working at 1.80GHz and two CPU cores working at 2.32GHz. These clues suggest that the device could be powered by the Snapdragon 720G, which also powered the Reno5 4G smartphone. The Geekbench listing further states that the handset has 8GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. It has scored 563 and 1651 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

Reno6 Series Release Date in Indonesia

OPPO will be announcing the Reno6 and Reno6 Pro 5G in Indonesia on July 15. The landing page of the phone showcases a device that appears to be the vanilla Reno6 for Indonesia. However, the design of the phone appears to be different from any of the Reno6 series smartphones that debuted in China.

Hence, it appears that the Reno6 that will arrive in Indonesia could be a different model. Probably, it could be released as OPPO Reno6 4G. At present, there is no word on the other specifications of the alleged 4G variant. The teaser image suggests that the phone will be equipped with a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup.
