Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are Samsung’s best-selling devices of 2016. Given their outstanding design and performance specs coupled by an amazing set of features, this was expected.
While one of the good things about the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is that they came in with a variety of color variants to suit the needs of different buyers, the South Korean tech giant has opted to include a fifth color variant.
Initially, Samsung launched the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in four color variants of Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, Gold Platinum and White Pearl. However, a few months ago, or rather about a month following the official release of the two Galaxy phones, the OEM revealed that it will be following up these four color variants with a fifth color in the shape of Pink Gold. Back then, this model was only supposed to sell in the company’s home country of South Korea. However, the same color variant made its way to the Netherlands sometimes later.
Apparently, it seems this Pink Gold color variant is doing great and as a result, Samsung has revealed that the model will be available for U.S. buyers in the near future. However, some might be deterred by the fact that Samsung will be not be offering the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as unlocked variants, instead, this new Pink Gold color variant will be locked to Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. Sorry T-Mobile fans.
In terms of price, Samsung has not said a thing yet, but since it is nothing but another color variant, we don’t expect changes in pricing when compared to other variants. At the moment, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge base models are selling from between $620 and $750.
If you feel like grabbing one of these when available, check out on Best Buy beginning August 28. It gets even better as the giant retailer is also offering a $150 gift card for anyone who buys the new Pink Gold Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge color variant.
