The world is not just getting ready for the new Apple iPhone 7 in the month of September, as it is now almost confirmed that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 would also be coming out this month.
After weeks of rumors about the impending launch, it seems that Xiaomi has decided on unveiling the device on September 14. This comes just a week after the Apple iPhone 7, but one of the reasons for Xiaomi going with this launch date is because the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 does not directly compete with the iPhone 7.
Several specifications of the device have also been leaked along with the launch date. It shows that the phone will come with a 5.7 inch display with a whopping resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels. If this turns out to be true, then the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 stands to have one of the highest pixel densities in the smartphone industry at a figure of 773 PPI. One of the concerns with the phone may be the fact that it is rumored to have only a 3600 mAh battery. The official figures will confirm more details, but for the moment, everything rests on the fast charging capabilities of the device.
Since the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 arrives in 2016, it is likely to support Quick Charge 3.0. It may not be as fast as the dash charging seen on the OnePlus 3, but it should be more than sufficient to get the battery to around 83% in just 30 minutes of charge. The phone is likely to be available in three different variants in terms of memory – 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. The larger 128 GB version has 6 GB of RAM, which would place it alongside the OnePlus 3 as one of the handful of phones that offer this substantial amount of RAM, while the lower end variants have to do with 4 GB of RAM.
A snapdragon 821 processor is likely to be offered on the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, thus making the device as one of the latest in terms of heart. The 821 processor from snapdragon is not expected to be a major revamp over the 820 version. As the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 gets near its launch, prices are likely to be leaked as well. Even then, the phone will be substantially cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
