The rivalry between Apple and Samsung is legendary, and it should come as no surprise the fans of both brands are always trying to prove their phone is better.
This is just one more chapter in this whole saga, which at times, can get really hostile.
While Apple hasn’t launched its flagship iPhone for this year yet, Samsung has already shown us all what the Galaxy Note 7 could do. It would be a good idea to compare the best iPhone on the market, the 6s, with this phablet in a head-to-head performance test.
The iPhone 6s comes with a dual-core A9 processor and 2 GB RAM. The Galaxy Note 7 comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB RAM.
It is also worth noting the Galaxy Note 7 comes with Quad HD resolution while the 6s has an IPS LCD display. Naturally, the OS is also going to have an important part to play in this test. The iPhone was running iOS 9.3.4 while the Note 7 was on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The speed test had users opening several games including Asphalt Airborne 8 and Angry Birds. Both of the smartphones were used to create a lapse from a video file. A few other applications like ESPN and Netflix were also added. The Galaxy Note 7 fell behind while opening the games and ever really managed to catch up after.
There was only one winner of this test, the iPhone 6s. The Galaxy Note 7 took 2:05 minutes to finish the first speed test and 2:50 minutes the second time around.
Times for the iPhone 6s were much faster with the first run finishing in just 1:21 minutes and the second taking just 1:51 minutes.
