Recent online reports have claimed that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 release date could be set for the third quarter of this year.
According to MyDrivers, a digital tech blogger from China has claimed that the Mi MIX 4 could be the company’s first phone with an in-screen camera. Moreover, he has revealed that it will be costing more than the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra flagship phone, which was announced earlier this year.

According to the tipster, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will arrive only in a single version. This model is expected to arrive with an in-display camera. Hence, it appears that there may not be a standard model featuring a regular selfie camera.
As far as pricing is concerned, the tipster claimed that it will be priced higher than Mi 11 Ultra, which debut with a starting price of 5,999 Yuan ($931) in China. The Mi 11 Ultra has the best flagship screen ever see on a Xiaomi phone. Since the Mi MIX 4 is expected to feature an in-screen camera, it is likely that its display may not be as good as the Mi 11 Ultra.
It is speculated that the Mi MIX 4 may not support quad HD+ resolution. However, it is tipped to feature a specially customized high-resolution that may offer a better viewing experience than the conventional 1080p displays. Like the predecessor Mi MIX series phone, the Mi MIX 4 is expected to offer an outstanding bezel-less design.
The Snapdragon 888 which fuels the Mi 11 Ultra may also fuel the next Mi MIX series phone. The device could be housing a 4,500mAh battery that may carry support for 120W fast wired charging. Xiaomi is also rumored to be working on another flagship phone. It remains to be seen whether it goes official with the Mi MIX 4.
