The full-fledged game is expected to feature a much bigger map than the one seen in the open beta version.
In less than two months, one will get to witness the arrival of Battlefield 6. The much-awaited title has been in the news for a long time and when it arrives on October 10, one expects it to make a lot of noise.
In the last few months, the excitement around Battlefield 6 has grown considerably. One aspect of the game that has been discussed extensively is the map size.

Given the nature of the game, one has been expecting it to feature a huge map that will give fans the chance to explore a lot of things.
According to a recently leaked image, Battlefield 6 will feature maps that will be so huge that their size will make the ones available in the open beta appear to be small. In the last few days, one saw a lot of open beta players sharing their grievances about the size of the maps. If this leaked image is anything to go by, fans will not have anything to complain about once the game arrives.
The first Battlefield 6 open beta was organized between August 9 and 11 and set new records for the franchise. At its peak, it registered the presence of 521,000 concurrent players. The second open beta of the game wrapped up on August 17 and proved to be a good success as well. The way things stand right now, one expects the October 10 launch of the game to be quite smooth. However, one must take into account all the concerns players have had with the open beta.

The biggest concern, as discussed by fans, pertaining to the open beta has been the size of the maps. As per recently made plans, one will get to see nine maps at the time of the game’s launch. Till now, open beta players have had a glimpse of half of the total number of maps. The maps they have seen so far can be categorized as small or medium maps.
A freshly leaked image shows one of the sizes of two maps that have not been released yet. These two maps are Mirak Valley and Eastwood. If one takes into account the Siege of Cairo, one of the maps shown in the beta, there is a huge difference in size. Eastwood, to put it simply, is four times bigger than the Siege of Cairo.

During the open beta sessions, one witnessed several players complaining about the tiny areas of effect produced by the rocket launcher and the grenade launcher. Because of this, they come across as being inefficient in some of the areas of the map.

Larger maps, one believes, will lead to vehicles being used more prominently. They should offer targets that would facilitate more flexible explosive weapon activities.
The size of the maps is not the only issue fans have spoken about during the open beta sessions. Since the last couple of days, Battlefield 6 has been experiencing long server queues. One also saw the official X account of the game acknowledging the presence of issues with the anti-cheat software and the Party System. Beta tests, as one knows, are designed to offer developers some insight into the various issues affecting the game. Once the game launches in October, one expects most of these issues to have been resolved by then.
