While Fallout 76 continues to grow as a game, there seems to be a need for it to slow down on one particular aspect and be a little more mindful about how it plans to go about implementing a certain feature. The game should, instead, emphasize some of the factions that already exist as a part of the franchise.
As far as the Fallout franchise timeline is concerned, Fallout 76 takes off before any of the other existing games. This is one of the things that makes the game unique. While it gives the game the opportunity to work towards uncovering some of the darkest mysteries in the game with a renewed sense of zeal, it also ends up putting restrictions on bringing in new developments.

However, since Scorched has not made an appearance in any other Fallout game, there is a limited possibility of much happening with the Scorched Plague.
