Instead of gacha mechanics, the mobile game will reportedly feature microtransactions. While the game is scheduled to be launched in China in the month of June, the release date for other regions has not been announced yet.

A source, which identifies itself as Umadori, has shared some important details about some of the microtransactions in the game. The source has also shed some light on how players will have the opportunity to skip tasks that are tedious and time-consuming.

If the leak is anything to go by, players shall have the opportunity to upgrade their Extreme weapons to their better variants with the help of a microcurrency referred to as ‘wind currents’. By paying money, players will also be able to skip their job quests. One of the things that will be a part of the microtransaction list is the cosmetic dyes for Final Fantasy 14 equipment.

The pricing for ‘normal’ dyes would be very different from that for ‘rare’ dyes. Some of the dyes will be offered for free as well. Right now, the wind currents and normal dyes have been priced at 60 yen or $0.42. The cost associated with rare dyes is 200 yen and $1.40 USD.
