If one goes by a new leak from HypeX, the arrival of ‘Hero Abilities’ is the next big thing fans should look forward to in the game. This new pickup should be a part of the game in its next season.
As per the information provided as a part of this leak, Hero Abilities will be designed differently from the way the game has hosted superhero powers earlier. Earlier, one had seen superpowers emerging into Mythic weapons. The mechanics around the Hero Abilities, however, will be different.

As per the leaked post, Hero Abilities will be seen like the loot and weapons that feature in the game’s current version. Like other items, ‘Regular Tier’ Hero Abilities can be seen scattered on the ground as “floor loot”.
‘High Tier’ abilities shall remain restricted to loot chests and Fortnite supply drops. Based on this ‘tiering system’, one can assume that the different Hero Abilities will not have the same power and desirability.
