Fortnite has just made an official announcement about Galactic Battle, its new season, that it will be having an important crossover with Star Wars. Through this crossover, several new powers, vehicles and other items will be added to the game. As Chapter 6 Season 2 of Fortnite nears its culmination, fans can look forward to a new season marking its arrival on May 2.
Recently, Epic Games teased that an important Fortnite announcement will be made at Star Wars Celebration Japan. This led to the emergence of rumors suggesting that the battle royale could be rolling out a full crossover season.

If leakers are to be believed, this collaboration would offer skins of different characters like Rebellion Era Leia and the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn. Despite some information trickling, fans did not have much of an idea about how this collaboration would shape up.
Epic Games, via a recently conducted live stream from Star Wars Celebration Japan, unveiled a new teaser trailer featuring snippets of some of the elements that players would get to discover when Fortnite’s Galactic Battle gets a launch on May 2. Through this trailer, one got a glimpse of new skins of several popular characters like Mace Windu, Emperor Palpatine, and Darth Jar Jar.
During this event, actor Ahmed Best made his way onto the stage and shared further information about the upcoming season. As per the actor’s confirmation, Tie Fighters and X-Wings will be approaching the island and gamers shall have the chance to form a squad and be in charge of the vehicles while a match is in progress. The actor further stated that players would have the opportunity to utilize the Force Lightning while playing the game.
The new season will come equipped with a Star Wars battle pass, which should give players to choose from a variety of cosmetics.

Best also said that this exciting collaboration between Fortnite and Star Wars shall feature original mash-ups like Wookie Team Leader, which happens to be a remix of Cuddle Team Leader, a popular character from the game.
Recently, fans also stumbled upon a new Fortnite skin of a Mandalorian. Many feel this skin would come with several customization features. However, nothing has been notified or confirmed as yet. As per a recent post by Star Wars’ official X account, fans will get the opportunity to witness a full-fledged live event by the time the upcoming season comes to an end.
