Samsung is in the process of rolling out its June 2025 security update for its smartphones.
The Galaxy S22 series, Z Flip 4, and Z Fold 3 are among the latest handsets to receive this update. The update addresses several vulnerabilities in the earlier software. There are no new performance enhancements or features.
The update can be done manually through the ‘Settings’ app by selecting Software update followed by Download and install. Once the files are downloaded, you can click the Install now button to proceed with the installation. The handset will restart automatically once the update is done. Alternatively, you can download the firmware and flash it manually using the Odin tool and a Windows PC.
Galaxy S22 Series
The Galaxy S22 series comprises the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra. The update was at first available for smartphones in the home country. Following this, international variants received the same. After this, factory-unlocked handsets in the United States are now eligible for the update.

The firmware is associated with version S90xU1UES8FYF2 and is available for smartphones on various networks like AT&T, Xfinity Mobile, Cellular South, Verizon, and DISH, to mention a few.
Galaxy Z Flip 4
At present, the software update is available for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the international market with the model number SM-F721B. This applies to handsets in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
The firmware update for smartphones in the above markets carries the build number F721BXXSAHYER.
Galaxy Z Fold 3
The brand has right now made the update available for handsets in Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Smartphones in the United States are expected to receive the update soon.

The firmware is associated with version F926BXXSDJYF1.
The Galaxy S22 series and Z Flip 4 are also eligible for the Android 16 update, topped with the manufacturer’s One UI 8.
