South Korean tech giant is expected to have a global release of Galaxy S25 and its lineup in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, the base variant of Galaxy S25 smartphone is up on the Geekbench database.
The Geekbench listing only mentions the model number SM-S931B and not the moniker of the smartphone just like any listing on the platform. The S25 scored 2986 points and 9355 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

The listing reveals that the Galaxy S25 will be powered by an overclocked octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm. This upgraded processor is also referred to as Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and has two cores clocking at 4.47 GHz. In the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, these cores have a clocking frequency of 4.32 GHz.
It is also pointed out that the handset will be equipped with 12 GB RAM. This falls in line with an earlier report that states the Galaxy S25 lineup will offer 12GB RAM as the minimum option and not 8 GB as in the earlier series. The smartphone will come with Android 15 preinstalled.
Other Expected Specifications
The Galaxy S25 will come with a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel featuring a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2340 x 1080. There will also be an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The handset will have an aluminum frame and a glass back.
The smartphone will have three cameras on the back comprising a main 50 MP shooter with OIS support, a 12 MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 10 MP ultra-wide shooter with OIS along with an LED flash unit. On the front, there will be a 12 MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy S25 along with the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to break cover towards the end of this month on January 22.
