The Galaxy S26 Ultra has started hitting the headlines even as Samsung fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is touted to be the brand’s thinnest smartphone.

The leak hints that the manufacturer will opt for a significant camera upgrade. This is the inclusion of a variable aperture lens in the main camera of the handset. This feature was last adopted by Samsung in the Galaxy S9 before deciding to do away with the same.

Expected Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera Specs

According to a post on the popular X platform by Siddhant B, there will be four cameras on the back. The main camera will have a 200 MP resolution along with autofocus and OIS support.

The sensor will additionally have a variable aperture ranging from f/1.5 to f/4.0. This will help users have more control over their shots in different lighting situations.

The smartphone will have a telephoto camera with OIS, autofocus, and 3.5x zoom support. This will be a major upgrade over the 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom in the S25 Ultra. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have one more 50 MP camera with 8x zoom, optical image stabilization, and autofocus. This is also a slight upgrade considering the fact that the S25 Ultra offers only 5x zoom with this shooter.

The final camera on the rear of the handset will be an ultra-wide 50 MP shooter with a 50 MP resolution and autofocus support.

Other Details

The only other details available about the S26 Ultra at the moment are related to its battery and display. It is speculated that the smartphone will house a 5,500 mAh battery supporting silicon-carbide technology. The handset is also slated to have a more power-efficient display.

It is worth noting that there is a year to go before the launch of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Also, the manufacturer has not revealed any information so far. Hence, it is best to consider the available details with a pinch of salt.
