Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE to Launch Along with Flagship Foldables

Galaxy Z Flip 6

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has been in the spotlight for quite some time now, especially as it is touted to be the first budget-friendly foldable from the manufacturer.

The FE, standing for Fan Edition, is the term used for the brand’s affordable smartphones. The latest report hints at a slightly earlier launch of the handset than what was hinted at earlier.

According to a post on the X platform by Max Jambor, Samsung began the production of live demo units of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, along with the more expensive Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, at the end of April.

This indicates the possibility of all three foldables sharing the same launch date. Going by earlier reports, this is slated to be around June or July this year when the brand will host its next Unpacked event.

The same post also mentions that the foldable will have the same 187 g weight as the Galaxy Z Flip 6 without its charger or box.

Expected Z Flip7 FE Specs

The Z Flip 7 FE will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED main display on the inside. The outside or cover display will also have an AMOLED panel and will be 3.4 inches in size.

The foldable will house the manufacturer’s Exynos 2400e processor, which is one major difference from the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The smartphone will have 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage as well.

As for the cameras, the handset will have a dual camera setup on the back panel. Each camera will have a resolution of 12 MP. One of the snappers is the primary shooter, while the other snapper is an ultra-wide lens. On the inside, the foldable will have a 10 MP camera to support selfies and video calls.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will carry a price tag of approximately USD 799, whereas the more expensive Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be priced at close to USD 999.
