Galaxy Z Flip 7 Leaked Specs Fails to Impress; Here’s Why

Galaxy Z Flip 6

Details of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphone have started surfacing after the launch of the Galaxy S25 lineup a few days ago.

A few details such as the screen size of the handset were leaked in the past. The most recent leak shared an insight into the camera details of the smartphone. Unfortunately, the details fail to impress as they are similar to that of the predecessor Z Flip 6.

Expected Galaxy Z Flip 7 Camera Specs

The Z Flip 7 will have two cameras on the back comprising a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, the handset will have one 10 MP camera for video calls and selfies.

While the numbers match that of the Z Flip 6, there is no information about the sensor size making it unclear at the moment if there is a sensor upgrade. It is also reported that it is unlikely that the Z Flip 7 will have an under-display snapper or a telephoto snapper.

AI Enhanced Image Processing

Going by earlier reports, the Z Flip 7 is anticipated to incorporate AI-enhanced image processing for its cameras to compensate for the lack of sensor upgrades. It is expected that the smartphone will offer software-based enhancements. Best Face is one such AI feature that the foldable will support.

Other Details

The Z Flip 7 is not likely to depend on other manufacturers for its processor. The foldable is slated to be powered by Samsung’s very own upcoming Exynos 2500 chipset under the hood.

The display sizes will be bigger than before for both the folding and cover displays. The battery size will be around 4,000 mAh.

Samsung has not mentioned any details about the release date of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, it is expected that the foldable will see the light of day in the summer of 2025.
