South Korean tech giant Samsung is expected to offer the Galaxy Z Flip7 as one of its premium offerings in the coming year.

While several details have sprung up in the past about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable, a news report has now emerged stating the processor of the smartphone.

Exynos 2500

Samsung Exynos

While not all handsets in the Galaxy S25+ lineup are likely to house the manufacturer’s Exynos 2500 processor, the chipset is likely to find its way into the Z Flip 7.  Samsung is likely to opt for its processor in the more affordable variant of the smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip FE.

If the above statement is anything to go by, upcoming foldable smartphones will be more affordably priced than the present Galaxy Z Flip handsets that rely on Snapdragon processors. This is because the Exynos 2500 chipset will not be as expensive as Qualcomm’s processors.

Other Galaxy Z Flip 7 Expectations

Going by earlier reports, the handset is expected to have marginally bigger displays than its predecessor. The covered display will have a size increase of 4 inches compared to the earlier 3.4 inches. On the other hand, the inside display will have an increased size of 6.85 inches from 6.7 inches. The Z Flip7 will also be slimmer than before by 10%.

The smartphone will have a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera on the rear and a 10 MP selfie camera in the front. There will be two storage options 256 GB and 512 GB.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is anticipated to be launched in the second half of the next year around July or August 2025.

According to a Korean newspaper report, the low yield rates of the processor resulted in initial production challenges. Moreover, the fact that the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset portrayed better performance than the Exynos 2500 is another reason why the manufacturer is not opting for its chipset in all its flagships. These are two major reasons why all Galaxy S25 series handsets will not feature the manufacturer’s processor.
