Galaxy Z Flip FE Tipped to be Renamed as Galaxy Z Flip Xe

Galaxy Z Flip 6

The Galaxy Z Flip FE, also known as the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, is touted to be an affordable variant of the upcoming Z Flip 7.

There have been various leaks on and off about the specifications of the smartphone. A new leak now states that the brand is likely to drop the FE tag and name the budget-friendly foldable as Galaxy Z Flip Xe. However, Samsung has officially not made any statement in this regard.

There is also no information about the reason for the name change. Interestingly, the handset has been spotted in the GSMA database with the new name.

Expected Flip FE / Flip Xe Specs

Going by past leaks, the Z Flip FE or Z Flip Xe will borrow a few specs from the Z Flip 5 and Z Flip 6 as a part of its initiative to cut corners.

The foldable will have the same 3.4-inch cover screen and AMOLED 6.7-inch main display as that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The smartphone will adopt the camera setup of the Z Flip 5. There will be two cameras on the back. These cameras have a 12 MP resolution and are a main camera and an ultra-wide sensor. The secondary or front-facing camera will have a 10 MP resolution.

The handset will be powered by the manufacturer’s Exynos 2400e processor under its hood. This chipset is an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400 processor.

One of the earlier reports states that the brand will initially produce 160,000 units of the Galaxy Z Flip Xe or Z Flip FE. This means that the production count will be slightly more than that of the upcoming Z Fold 7.
