South Korean tech giant Samsung has started rolling out the February 2025 security update for its smartphones.
These updates address several issues that make its handsets more secure than before. At present, the updates are available only for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Fold SE, and S24 lineup.
Galaxy Z Fold 6
The security update is at present restricted to only the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the home country with the model number SM-F956N. The build is associated with the firmware version F956NKSS2AYAA.

Other variants of the Z Fold 6 are expected to be eligible for the update in the coming weeks.
Galaxy Z Fold SE
Only the Galaxy Z Fold SE (also known as Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition) with the model number SM-F958N in South Korea has started getting the update with the build featuring the firmware version F958NKSS2AYAA.
The manufacturer is slated to roll out the update for the handset in other countries in the next few weeks.
Galaxy S24 Lineup
The brand has made the security update available for the Galaxy S24 lineup in the home country. The build is the same for all three smartphones, Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra and is associated with the firmware version S928NKSS4AYA1.
It is worth noting that this is the January security update for the series in India and a few other countries have the same build number. Hence, the February update for the handsets in these countries is likely to feature a different build number.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Fold SE are likely to receive the OneUI 7.0 update although the manufacturer has not announced when it will make the same available for the foldables.
The software update can be installed automatically through the ‘Software update’ section in the ‘Settings’ app. Alternatively, the update file can be installed manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.
