A new report has now emerged about the charging capabilities of the foldable following the listing of a Samsung smartphone on the Wireless Power Consortium with Qi2 rating.
Several details of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 have appeared in the past with various specifications.
The WPC listing does not highlight the name of the handset and only mentions the model number SM-D637U. While the brand generally does not opt for the SM-Dxxx naming convention for the model numbers of its smartphones, it did do so once before to keep the model number of the Z Fold 5 under wraps.

Given the ‘U’ in the model number, the handset being referenced is the carrier-locked US version of the Z Fold 7.
Rumored Z Fold 7 Specs
The foldable will draw its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Made for Galaxy. It will come with Android 16 topped with the manufacturer’s One UI 8 preinstalled. The smartphone will support up to 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
There will be three cameras on the back. The only change to the camera setup will be to the main camera, which is a 200 MP shooter. The other two cameras will be a 10 MP telephoto snapper and a 12 MP ultra-wide snapper like in the predecessor. There will be 10 MP and 4 MP selfie cameras on the outer and inner displays.

The crease on the inside of the Z Fold 7 will not be as prominent as before, thanks to an improved hinge. The inner display will be sized at 8.2 inches, while the outer display will feature a size of 6.5 inches.
The smartphone will incorporate a 4,400 mAh battery with 25 W fast wired charging support.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will need a phone case with built-in magnets for proper alignment. It will break cover in July along with the Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE.
