Galaxy Z Fold 7 to Feature a Huge Camera Bump in a Slim Profile

The rumor mill has released quite a few leaks about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 from Samsung.

The brand released a teaser showing the ultra-slim profile of the foldable that falls in line with various statements claiming that the smartphone will be the world’s thinnest handset in the foldable category. New images have now surfaced, revealing a huge protruding camera bump.

The foldable has a huge camera bump on the back with a vertical layout for the cameras. There will be three cameras that are expected to be a main camera, a telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide camera.

The camera bump is slated to be due to the high 200 MP resolution of the main camera. While the telephoto camera will have a 10 MP resolution and support for 3x optical zoom and OIS, the ultra-wide camera will feature a 12 MP resolution and may support autofocus.

There are expectations of two selfie cameras – one will be on the cover display with a 10 MP resolution, and the other will be an improved under-display camera.

Expected Specs

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have Dynamic AMOLED 2x displays. The inner and cover displays will have sizes of 8 and 6.5 inches, respectively.

Under the hood, the foldable will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 12 GB of RA,M along with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. It will run on Android 16 with One UI 8.

The smartphone will draw its juice from a 4,400 mAh battery with 15 W Qi2 Ready wireless charging and 25 W fast wired charging support.

Design Details

The Z Fold 7 will have a titanium backplate. The handset will support multiple connectivity options like a Type C USB port, 5G, NFC, GPS, UWB, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. It will also come with stereo speakers.

There will be a volume rocker and a slim power button on the right. The power button can also function as a fingerprint reader. The smartphone will feature an IP 48 rating for water and dust resistance.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is slated to launch in July this year, along with the Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE.
