Galaxy Z Fold 8 Could Beat the First Foldable iPhone with Three Features

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Render

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be one of the foldables launched by Samsung next year.

2026 will also mark the debut of the first foldable from Apple, and it will compete with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Interestingly, the specifications of both foldables have not been confirmed.

However, based on the specs that a reliable tipster DCS has shared about the iPhone’s foldable, the smartphone will have two 48 MP cameras and a 7.58-inch or 7.8-inch inner display. It will have a durable hinge made of composite material and amorphous metallic glass.

Keeping these limited details in mind, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be better than the iPhone foldable in a few ways.

Better Cameras

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a triple camera setup comprising a 200 MP main camera, a 10 MP telephoto camera, and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera.

Hence, the Z Fold 8 could have something better to offer with a 50 MP upgrade for the telephoto or ultra-wide camera or retain the same specs. On the other hand, the foldable iPhone will have only two 48 MP cameras and no telephoto camera.

Bigger Display

The Z Fold 7 will support an 8-inch inner display that is likely to be the same in the Galaxy Z Fold 8. While the screen size between the two foldables is marginal, it does mean that the Samsung foldable offers more real screen estate.

Ergonomic Design

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be designed such that it is easy to operate the foldable with one hand. It will also have a 21:9 aspect ratio.

In contrast, talks are that Apple will opt for an iPad Mini-like aspect ratio for its smartphone.

If this happens to be true, the Apple foldable will be wider than Samsung’s offering, making it necessary for the user to use both hands.
