By now, the entire world knows that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be arriving in 2026. Rockstar Games had initially planned on making the game accessible to fans in the fall of 2025. However, it recently confirmed that the game has been pushed to next year. While fans were disappointed with the delay, they were also happy about the fact that Rockstar wants to ensure they get treated to a good product, even if it means the release getting slightly delayed. The game is now scheduled for release on 26 May 2026.
After the news about the game getting delayed came through, many were worried that it could be delayed again. Strauss Zelnick, who serves as the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, recently stated that there is no reason that should lead to the game being delayed all over again. Rockstar Games needed just a little more time to put the finishing touches on the game. And now, with the game’s release being pushed to May next year, the development team should get enough time to present the game exactly the way it wanted to GTA fans.

Rockstar was well aware of the fact that fans would feel a sense of disappointment when they get to know about the much-awaited game was getting pushed to next year. To do some damage control, Rockstar rolled out the second official trailer for GTA 6. The second trailer, with a runtime of 2 minutes and 47 seconds, managed to leave a strong impression on fans worldwide. In less than 15 days, the trailer has garnered more than 110 million views.
In the last few years, several aspects related to GTA 6 have been discussed extensively by fans in online communities. One of the things we know about GTA 6 is that it will trace the journey of Jason and Lucia, the two protagonists, across the length and breadth of Vice City. Fans have been having intense discussions about the length of the main story featuring Jason and Lucia.
Different sections of fans have different opinions about the ideal length of GTA 6. While some fans are of the opinion that the main story should be 30-35 hours long, the entire game, after taking the side content into account, could be 70 hours long. Many fans are of the belief that the length of the game would be inconsequential as long as it manages to engage and keep one hooked. Given the scale of the game, one expects a large number of side quests, missions, challenges, and activities to be a part of GTA 6.
