The LinkedIn profile of a Rockstar Games employee has given fans some new information to bite on!
While Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in the fall of 2025, rumors pertaining to the game continue to come to the fore. According to a new rumor, Rockstar might have opted for procedural generation for the development of GTA 6 and there is a good possibility of the game arriving on PC.
Needless to say, GTA 6 is the most awaited game of 2025. While many gaming titles are scheduled to release next year, no other game enjoys the kind of hype that GTA 6 does. After the launch of the first trailer of the game in December last year, fans started looking forward to the second trailer. Though it has almost been a year since the first trailer came out, one is yet to come across any concrete update on the second trailer.

At 1 minute and 31 seconds, the first trailer of GTA 6 was quite brief. However, despite its limited runtime, the trailer made a huge impression. Apart from offering a glimpse into the vast and vibrant world of the game, the trailer also introduced fans to Lucia and Jason, the two protagonists in the game. It has been 11 months since the GTA 6 trailer released and it has garnered more than 200 million views on YouTube so far.
Recently, a gamer stumbled upon the LinkedIn profile of an individual who had been employed as a Principal Engine Programmer at Rockstar Games since the year 2020. As per his LinkedIn profile, the only project they are working on at the moment is GTA 6. When one explores the LinkedIn profile further, one realizes they have used RAGE, Rockstar’s in-house engine, in the past to put together games for both PC and consoles.

Though Rockstar has not confirmed GTA 6 for PC, the information on the aforementioned LinkedIn profile indicates that there is a good chance of it arriving on PC at some time. As per the profile, the developer has explored technology like ray tracing. The profile also states the developer has worked around “procedural generation for objects and game environments”.
The details listed in the profile make one believe that GTA 6 could have utilized procedural generation to put together a vast open world. Fans would not be surprised at this information as several big games use it at some point. Incorporating elements like grass, trees and several small objects, after all, is a process that consumes a lot of time.

Meanwhile, another rumor has piqued the interest of fans. Fresh rumors suggest that the second trailer for GTA 6 could be dropped very soon. Last year, Rockstar released the first trailer a week before rolling out the December update for GTA Online.
