Now that Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will be released in the fall of 2025, the one thing fans are discussing extensively is the GTA 6 price.
A section of the fans have been worried about the pricing of the game and believe it would be unaffordable for many. Michael Douse, the developer of Baldur’s Gate 3, had recently commented on the pricing of GTA 6 and stated that the price tag of video games should reflect their “quality, breadth and depth”.
Elaborating further Douse stated that all games should priced a little higher at the base level as production costs are surging ahead of pricing trends. Keeping this in mind, he believes GTA 6’s pricing will be on the higher side, especially when it launches. Some experts believe that the selling price of GTA 6 will be higher as Rockstar has pumped in a lot of money in developing it.

If GTA 6 is indeed priced on the higher side during its launch, fans believe several gamers will stay away from it. A large section of gamers in the gaming community are the ones who are in school or college and are not earning. Regardless of how much they love the GTA franchise, they will not be in a position to shell out a lot of money to get a copy of GTA 6.
A lot of discussions around GTA 6 and its pricing have been happening on Reddit. One of the users recently commented that paying $100 for a game is something an average gamer would not be willing to do. Some fans, however, are of the belief that GTA 6 will set new records in sales and revenue even if it is sold at a very high price.
