GTA 6 Price: Fresh Information About Game’s Pricing Divides Fans

This new information about GTA 6 price has come from a Swiss retailer’s website page that has now been taken down!

Ever since Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be arriving in the fall of 2025, one element pertaining to the game which fans have discussed most extensively is its pricing. Once the trailer confirmed the fact that GTA 6 has been mounted on a huge scale, the notion about the pricing of the game being on the higher side became stronger. Since Rockstar has spent a large sum on money developing the game, fans believed it would come with a high price tag.

It seems that the price of GTA 6 has leaked online. For a while, fans have been coming up with different theories related to the pricing of the game based on the information they had come across till date. Some of these ideas around the pricing of GTA 6 were also derived from factors like the pricing of the older GTA games, inflation and pricing trends.

While several fans believed that GTA 6 would be one of the costliest gaming titles till date, many have been of the opinion that it would be priced reasonably.

The reason behind their having this belief stemmed from the fact that GTA 6, as a game, enjoys enormous popularity across a vast spectrum of gamers. Therefore, if Rockstar decides to price it on the higher side, it would alienate several fans.

As per a report, Swiss Francs, a Swiss retailer, had put up a listing of GTA 6. As per this listing, the game is priced closer to $112 USD. While the page has now been taken down, it caught the attention of many. Earlier, some fans came up with a theory that stated that GTA 6 would be priced at $100. This made a lot of fans upset. The news about it being priced at $112, therefore, was not expected to go down well with several fans.

Based on the comments on social media and online communities, one assumes fans have mixed views on this. While some fans are disappointed with this projected pricing, many believe selling a game of this scale at a low price would entail losses for the studio.

A section of fans, therefore, believes that if Rockstar has indeed opted for this pricing strategy, it is justified to do so.

It is important to remember here that many retailers use placeholder prices before getting some concrete information about the pricing of the game from the publisher. Something similar had happened when the pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened up. Most of the pricing information, as we now know, turned out to be false.
