Take-Two Interactive’s next earnings call is scheduled on May 15.
A while back, Rockstar Games confirmed that the release date of GTA 6 will be set in the fall of 2025. While this information has made GTA fans feel jubilant, many were also disappointed that the studio did not specify any release date.
On 17 September 2013, GTA 5 was launched worldwide across different platforms. At that time, not many GTA fans would have imagined that Rockstar would take more than a decade to come out with another game in the franchise. GTA 4 was released in 2008. There was, therefore, just a gap of 5 years between GTA 4 and GTA 5. This time around, the wait was going to be much longer.

As fans get restless waiting to get some update on the GTA 6 release date, one hears that Rockstar and its parent company, Take-Two, might release some fresh update about it soon. This particular information has been shared by Indy100’s Jake Brigstock. According to Brigstock, the next earnings call by Take-Two will have an official statement pertaining to the 2025 Q4 release window for GTA 6.
Brigstock has stated that the next earnings call will take place on May 15 at 4.30 pm ET (9.30pm BST / 1.30pm PT). That is when, as per Brigstock, fans can expect to get some fresh updates on the GTA 6 release date.

Despite Rockstar confirming that GTA 6 will be launched in the fall of 2025, a section of fans has been of the opinion that there is still a possibility of the game suffering from a delay because of its scale and developers requiring more time to put it together. If Take-Two indeed shares some update on the GTA 6 release date during its next earnings call, one would get a better idea about whether the game has been delayed or is on track.

A while back, Obbe Vermeji, who used to work with Rockstar Games at one point in time, put out a tweet which got fans worried. According to Vermeji, the decision to push the release of GTA 5 ahead was taken “4 months or so before the original release date”.

This tweet made many fans believe that if Rockstar could do it once, it could do it twice. In the past, one has seen many studios postponing the release of their gaming titles owing to them not being ready. Huge expectations are riding on GTA 6. GTA, as a franchise, is huge and everybody is expecting GTA 6 to deliver on several fronts. Given the kind of expectations associated with GTA 6, there is a good possibility of Rockstar delaying it further so that it could get a little more time to work on it and the final product matches up to fans’ expectations.
At the moment, fans hope that Rockstar clears the air by announcing the final GTA 6 release date. It will not only give fans some clarity about when they should expect the game to release but also help other studios plan out their slate for the year.
