The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series has been well-received by gamers across the globe, and they are eagerly looking forward to the release of GTA 6. However, according to recent news, players may have to wait a little more than expected to get their hands on their favorite game.

According to the most recent rumor by Liam, a GTA Base source, the popular Rockstar Games’ GTA 6 release could get delayed internally to 2026. Interestingly, it was Liam who first hinted that the GTA 6 reveal trailer would arrive in December way ahead of the same announcement by mainstream outlets. The game is currently scheduled for a 2025 release in the third or fourth quarter.

The rumor indicates that multiple developers are involved in developing the game in two studios. It went on to state that Rockstar Games wanted some more time internally and the release date could get delayed to early to mid 2026. Additionally, the rumor states that the PC version of the GTA 6 release will take place a year to a year and a half after the console release. This means that the PC release will take place only in 2027.

GTA 6 was first announced on the popular X platform by Rockstar Games in February 2022. No other details were mentioned about the game in the tweet. It is a very detailed open-world game set in Vice City.

An ex-Rockstar developer stated that the game won’t be available on PCs when it is launched because of its high complexity.
