A Reddit user, based on a certain observation, has claimed that a crossover between GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2 has already been planned!
Recently, Rockstar Games launched the second trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6. Those who had enjoyed watching the first trailer, which dropped towards the end of 2023, were looking forward to the gaming studio rolling out another trailer for the game. While Rockstar did not share any update about GTA 6 trailer 2, it quietly dropped the trailer on 6 May. Though it has been just 4 days since the second trailer came out, it has already garnered more than 95 million views.
Many fans were expecting the trailer to come out a while later. This belief largely stemmed from the fact that Rockstar pushed the release of GTA 6 to 26 May, 2026. The game was initially slated for a fall 2025 release.

Some gaming experts are of the opinion that Rockstar wanted the investors of Take-Two Interactive to feel happy and confident before the earnings call scheduled for May. GTA 6 getting delayed would not have had the most positive impact on the investors and therefore, Rockstar might have felt the need to come up with some measures to pacify them.
After the launch of the second trailer of GTA 6, ardent fans have spent hours dissecting it and trying to unearth some information out of it. Apart from the return of a recurring character, fans have discovered several side activities that they might get to see once the game sees the light of day.
The trailer makes one believe that Leonida is not the only major state the game will give fans the chance to explore. Fans should get the opportunity to explore a lot of interesting locations in neighbouring Gloriana, which many believe is based on Georgia.
Many users have been having intense discussions on Reddit about the second trailer of GTA 6. A user, who identifies themselves as cph2001, has now claimed that GTA 6 will have a Red Dead Redemption 2 crossover. As per the user, the presidents on the cash in the club screenshot features Thaddeus Waxman and Franklin Hardin, whom one came across in the cigarette cards of RDR 2.

As soon as the user came out with this observation, many were quick to react to it. While many users referred to it as a “great catch”, there were some who were not too convinced. That being said, everybody would want to see a GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2 crossover happening.
Some of the users pointed out that the characters in Red Dead games are based in California. However, if Rockstar is indeed planning a crossover, it will be able to come up with a good reason to justify why these characters are in San Andreas. While designing a crossover, many things have to be kept in mind and one expects the studio to be mindful about them.
