Though Rockstar Games has not confirmed anything as yet, a popular X account has reasons to believe that the leaks are genuine.
An account on X (previously Twitter), which posts regularly on GTA 6, has stated that the GTA 6 story leak it shared in the past has now been confirmed to be true. They had also shared some details about the features in the game which now seem to have been confirmed.
The X account being referred to here is @GTAVI_Countdown which has a follower count exceeding 180,000. The X account is known for sharing leaks, news, rumors and speculations pertaining to GTA 6. Occasionally, it tweets about other titles by Rockstar Games as well.

A couple of days back, this particular account reposted some details shared by the YouTuber LegacyKillaHD pertaining to rumors about what players should expect to see in the story mode in GTA 6.

As per the rumors, the story will revolve around Lucia, one of the two protagonists in the game. The rumors also stated that there would be different intros for Lucia and Jason. The story is expected to be more ‘grounded’ than the kind of narrative one has come across in some of the recent GTA games. The story of the game is expected to be shorter Red Dead Redemption 2. Some of the missions, like a vault heist, will be inspired by Fast and Furious.

The GTA 6 story leak also features information about the presence of corrupt cop characters and the different mods and locations one will get to see in the game. Since none of this information has been confirmed by Rockstar Games, one can consider all this to be speculative talks.
As per the claims made by @GTAVI_Countdown, these leaks have been “been pretty much confirmed as we just received a DMCA takedown from Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two.” While by @GTAVI_Countdown is sure about the authenticity of the information shared by it, fans would need some more assurance to believe in them. Once the game releases in the fall of 2025, one will get to know.
