Rockstar Games opted for a quiet launch for the pre-load version.
Rockstar Games has released the GTA Online December Update 2024. Players now have the option of pre-loading the DLC patch. From December 8, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners have had the opportunity to get the December DLC downloaded in advance. December 10 onwards, Xbox and PC users have had this opportunity as well. Though the launch was done quietly, it did not go unnoticed by the Grand Theft Auto community.

As one can see in the aforementioned X post, a GTA community member, who identifies themselves as @AllEyezHD, shared details about the download size of the update. While the download size on PlayStation 4 is 2.8 GB, it is 6 GB on PlayStation 5.

The information one has received so far serves as a confirmation of the fact that the DLC, which has been titled GTA Online Agents of Sabotage, will provide players with a plethora of fresh content. A while back, one came across rumors suggesting that a small or minor update could be rolled out to GTA Online. Those rumors, as one can see now, were far from being true. The update that has been released is quite huge.
Since the size of the file on PS5 is bigger than what it is on PS4, one can assume that some of the content will be exclusively rolled out to current-gen consoles.

One such content is expected to be the new weapon that arrives with the DLC El Strickler Military Rifle.
If you use Xbox One, Series X/S or PC, you can download the patch as the DLC is now live. This particular DLC was launched at around 2 am PT on December 10, 2024. The DLC has the kind of content that would cater to different sections of fans.
