Several details of the upcoming Huawei Mate 70 lineup have surfaced in the recent past.
This series is slated to include four models comprising the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+, and Mate 70 Ultimate Design.
According to a source from within the company, the lineup will launch in November. Although the exact date is yet to be known, another recent leak hints at a release in the middle of the month.
Rumored Huawei Mate 70 Series Specifications
While the company official who confirmed the November launch remained tightlipped about the specifications of the lineup, some interesting details have been shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on what can be expected from the lineup.
The Mate 70 series is speculated to have circular camera modules for its Mate 70, 70 Pro, and 70 Pro+ variants. The top-end Ultimate Design variant will have an octagonal lens setup and a camera cover comprising a square arrangement with four lens openings along with five small cutouts for additional sensors and flash module lasers. The main shooter in the series will be a 50 MP camera with a variable aperture.
The lineup will have enhanced reliability and speed by opting for ultrasonic fingerprint scanners in place of optical scanners. The smartphones will incorporate an energy-efficient processor and a silcon-anode battery. This battery will have an enhanced capacity and help the handsets retain a lightweight and sleek form factor.

As the manufacturer has yet to confirm any of the above-mentioned details, it is advisable to consider these specifications with a grain of salt. Interestingly, Huawei released the predecessor Mate 60 series last year in August. The delay this year is said to be because of the manufacturer’s focus on developing its Android-independent platform.
