Huawei has confirmed the global launch of a foldable flagship.
While the manufacturer has not revealed the name of the smartphone, it is expected that the handset would either be the trifold Huawei Mate XT Ultimate announced in September in the home country or the Huawei Mate X6 that was launched last month in China.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Specifications
The Mate XT Ultimate has a 7.9-inch dual display with a 2K resolution plus a 10.2-inch tablet display along with a 6.4-inch LTPO OLED outer display. Under the hood, the smartphone features an octa-core Kirin 9010 processor and a Maleoon 910 GPU. The handset supports 16 GB RAM and storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

The smartphone is powered by a 5,600 mAh battery with support for 66 W fast charging. It has a 50 MP primary camera, a 12 MP periscope telephoto snapper, and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera on the back while there is an 8 MP shooter on the front.
Huawei Mate X6 Specifications
The Mate X6 features LTPO 2.0 panels with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz for the inner and cover displays. The smartphone has a 7.93-inch inner display in the unfolded state and a 6.45-inch outer display. The handset has two RAM options of 12 GB and 16 GB and three storage choices of 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.

The smartphone draws its juice from a 5110 mAh battery for the standard variant and a 5200 mAh battery for the Collector’s Edition variant. Both variants support multiple charging options. It comes with a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP telephoto macro snapper, a 40 MP ultra-wide camera, and an infrared sensor. On the front, there is an 8 MP shooter.
As the manufacturer has made no announcement of a change in specifications, we can expect the global variant to retain the same aspects as the Chinese counterpart. Huawei will set the stage for the new foldable globally in slightly more than a week from now in Dubai on the 12th of December 2024.
