iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro users are facing a major battery drain problem with their smartphones after the most recent iOS 18 update that promised better battery life.
Even as fixes are expected soon, several users have taken to various social media platforms and forums to express their frustration over this issue. On the positive side, not all users have encountered this problem.

Affected users have reported that their phones run out of charge very fast even when they are idle or with minimum usage. According to a Reddit user, although the smartphone was used to listen to music for two and a half hours and the screen time was less than 45 minutes, the smartphone battery showed a dip to 68%. Another user said that with similar usage, his/her iPhone 14 had 78% battery left while the iPhone 16 had only 45% of charge remaining.

This is not the first time that iPhone users have experienced battery drain issues after they have opted for a key iOS release. While Apple has not yet made any statement regarding this concern, the manufacturer is known to take fast action to resolve software-related issues.
