iPhone 16e Leaked Details Reveal an iPhone 14-Like Design and a Bigger Display than its Predecessor

There have been several reports about the upcoming iPhone 16e in the recent past.

One of them said that Apple was dropping the SE in the name of the smartphone and hence the iPhone SE 4 has been renamed to reflect this change. One of the most recent leaks about the iPhone 16e gives some interesting details about it. In the leak, the tipster also mentions that he/she had an opportunity to feel the materials used in the smartphone.

In a Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the iPhone 16e design will be similar to that of the iPhone 14 with right-angle metal frames. This will give the smartphone a premium design and a robust build.

As for the display, the handset will have a 6.06-inch display that is considerably bigger than the 4.7-inch display of the predecessor. The display will have a FHD+ LTPS OLED notch panel with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. For the processor, the smartphone will incorporate the manufacturer’s A18 processor.

The leak also states that the iPhone 16e will be a waterproof handset with support for Face ID and one camera on the back.

Another recent leak by tipster Smart Pikachu mentions the smartphone will also house a modem manufactured by Apple.

The handset is touted to be an affordable iPhone in the iPhone 16 series with many specs of the iPhone 14 and is targeted at fans who want a smartphone with specifications like that of the manufacturer’s flagships.

While the exact launch details of the iPhone 16e are not known at the moment, the rumor mill claims that the release will take place in the first half of the year, more specifically in March 2025.
