iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max May Support Reverse Wireless Charging Like Galaxy Flagships

There has been no dearth of rumors about the iPhone 17 lineup, including the 17 Pro, in the past.

They have highlighted several specifications of the upcoming series. A new leak has now surfaced that highlights a new feature that Apple may finally incorporate for the Pro and Pro Max in its iPhone 17 lineup. If this is true, these smartphones will support reverse wireless charging. Interestingly, this feature was introduced by Samsung way back in 2019 for its Galaxy flagships under the name Wireless PowerShare.

Apple has been contemplating this technology for some time now. If it does, the 17 Pro and Pro Max will be capable of charging the brand’s AirPods and Apple Watch at 7.5 W.

Expected Specs

According to past reports, the 17 Pro will have a 6.3-inch display while the 17 Pro Max will have a bigger 6.7-inch display. Both handsets will have a 120 Hz refresh rate, while incorporating the brand’s ProMotion technology, an anti-reflective screen coating, and Always-On displays.

The iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max will house the brand’s A19 processor along with a Qualcomm modem under their hoods. They will support Apple Intelligence and run on iOS 19.

On the rear, the two smartphones will house a 48 MP triple-camera setup. These shooters are a primary camera, a telephoto camera with 5x zoom and a tetraprism, and an ultra-wide camera.

The iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max are anticipated to see the light of day across the globe, along with the iPhone 17 and 17 Air in September 2025. This will also be the first series to eliminate the Plus variant and introduce an Air variant that is reported to be the counterpart of the Galaxy S25 Edge by Samsung.
