iPhone 17 Pro

Apple is working on the iPhone 17 lineup including the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.

According to a recent leak, the manufacturer is planning on incorporating a new display technology for its Pro variants. The new technology is expected to usher in a few enhancements.

Low-Dielectric TEE Technology

If the post by tipster Jukanlosreve on the popular X platform is anything to go by, Apple will implement the Low-Dielectric TEE technology for its iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models. This technology is not only expected to give the displays of the two smartphones an upgrade and durability but also enhance battery efficiency and improve overall performance as against the current display technologies.

In a comment on the same post, the tipster clarifies that the technology is different from the LTPO+ technology supported by the present iPhone Pro handsets.

Other Expected iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max Changes

There are talks that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will have a revamped look as a result of a major design change. One example of this is that the Dynamic Island will be narrower than before for refined usability. The camera island is also reported to be changing with the manufacturer planning to position the sensors differently.

The smartphones are slated to be powered by Apple’s very own A19 Pro processor which has been designed using a third-generation 3 nm process.

While there were talks about the tech giant planning to revert to the old aluminum frame for the Pro variants, a fresh leak states that the manufacturer will stick to the current titanium frame.

As there is still a long way to go before the iPhone 17 lineup eventually takes off, it must be kept that things might change over time and Apple settle for a different display option for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro. Hence, while the news of the display upgrade seems exciting, it is best to consider the information with a pinch of salt at the moment.
