The iPhone 17 series will include four smartphones, comprising the iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The Air variant will take the place of the Plus counterpart in the earlier lineups.
The rumor mill has churned up various details about the series in the past. The most recent report by JPMorgan now claims that only the Pro variant, the iPhone 17 Pro, will have a major price hike.
Expected Pricing Details
According to the above, the 17 Pro will feature a price rise of USD 100 compared to its predecessor. However, the good news is that the base storage has been pepped up to 256 GB from 128 GB, which is double what the iPhone 16 Pro has to offer.

The iPhone 17 will have a starting price of USD 799, like the iPhone 16. On the other hand, the iPhone 17 Air will be priced at USD 899, like the iPhone 16 Plus or cost around $50 more with a pricing of USD 949. This hike could be a part of Apple’s strategy to make the handset as thin as possible. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will reflect no price change and the model with 256 GB of base storage will be priced at USD 1,199.
Other iPhone17 Pro Specs
The 17 Pro will be powered by Apple’s A19 processor and a Qualcomm processor under its hood. The smartphone will run on iOS 19 and support Apple Intelligence.
The handset will have a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will incorporate ProMotion technology and come with an Always-On Display and an anti-reflective screen coating.
On the back, the smartphone will feature three 48 MP cameras, comprising a main shooter, an ultra-wide shooter, and a telephoto shooter with a tetraprism and 5x zoom. The front-facing camera will have a 24 MP resolution. There will also be a LiDAR scanner and a flash module.
